I love the shading in the background of this design. There are many types of Kingfisher that are native to Australia, the Kookaburra being the most well-known, but I am afraid that I do not know the name of this variety.

The finished embroidery measures 12 x 8 inches or 307 x 203mm and uses 40 colours. It was designed to partner with the Robin embroidery. It is worked on 14ct Aida cloth.
